Sneap's first statement (dated February 14th 1986)

She stated that, although she had written down the registration number when Frank's son had asked for the number plates, she had lost the paper. She was then shown a number plate - B 571 KAO - and she said, 'It rings a bell.'

Sneap's second statement (made 75 minutes after the first)

Seventy five minutes later she made her second statement, this time producing an undated piece of paper bearing 'Evidence'.

Sneap's third statement (dated March 25th 1986)

In this statement, Sneap stated that the numbers were purchased from her business premises some time in September 1985* and that she was certain about this.
* The implication here is that there must have been a plan to steal the blue Ford Sierra from Davidson's garage as early as September 1985. The vehicle was not released by the Ford factory in Dagenham until October 24th l985 and did not arrive at Davidson's until November 7th, two months or so after Sneap stated she sold the number plates. (See Ford Sierra.)
